Caversham Buzz — Building Connections on My Own Doorstep
I am the Ambassador for Caversham Buzz, our monthly local business networking event hosted by Jan Revill.
How I Got Involved
I first came across Caversham Buzz through social media. What caught my attention was simple , it was local. Caversham is where I grew up and where I live, so the idea of being part of a local business community really appealed to me.
I started attending as a networker and quickly saw the value in it. In March I took the next step and became an Ambassador for the group. It felt like a natural fit supporting local businesses is at the heart of everything I do. As a virtual assistant based in Reading, helping business owners work more efficiently and reclaim their time is my passion. Being part of a community that shares that same drive for local business growth made becoming an Ambassador an easy decision.
What Our Networkers Say
Why Networking Matters
I am not going to tell you that networking will build your business overnight. What I will tell you is this, the more people you meet, the more your network grows. And the bigger your network, the more opportunities find their way to you.
It is not about pitching or selling. It is about showing up, having genuine conversations and building relationships over time. Business follows naturally from that.
About Caversham Buzz — Business Networking in Caversham
Caversham Buzz is part of Business Buzz, a national network of informal monthly networking events with over 50 groups across the UK. There is no membership, no pressure and no obligation to attend every month. You simply turn up, meet local business owners and see where the conversations take you.
The events are relaxed and informal by design. No structured formats, no awkward introductions just real conversations with real people running real businesses.
Growing the Berkshire Network
Caversham is the first Business Buzz event in Berkshire but it will not be the last. The plan is to grow the network right across the county from Reading and Bracknell to Maidenhead and Windsor.
If you are based in Berkshire and like the idea of hosting a local event, I would love to have a chat. There are different levels of involvement so it does not have to be a big commitment. You can also find out more about getting involved on the Business Buzz website.
What’s Next
If you are a business owner in or around Caversham and Reading, come along to the next event. Turn up, introduce yourself and see who you meet. That is all there is to it.
The more people you meet, the more you grow.
